Shredded Pork Taco’s
Make your taco nights unforgettable with these Spicy Shredded Pork Tacos. Perfect for a quick dinner, this dish will fill your home with the mouth-watering aroma of Mexican seasoned, slow-cooked pork.
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 to 1.3kg boneless pork shoulder, halved and rind removed
- 1 jar of NOGO TACO Seasoning
- 400g of tomato passata (or NOGO classic pasta Sauce)
- 12 taco shells
- 1 large avocado, diced
- 100g cherry tomatoes, quartered
- Shredded Iceburg lettuce
- 1½ cups grated Mexican-style cheese
- Fresh coriander sprigs for garnish
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and brown the pork on all sides.
- Add the TACO Seasoning (coat the pork evenly).
- Add the tomato pasata (or NOGO Classic Pasta Sauce)
- Cover, and simmer on low heat (until the pork is tender and can be easily shredded)
To serve:
- Shred the pork
- Fill the taco shells with the pork
- Top with avocado, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and cheese, and add fresh coriander at the end.
- Serve with NOGO’s Jalapeno Salsa—whether you like it hot or mild is up to you!
