Shredded Pork Taco’s

Make your taco nights unforgettable with these Spicy Shredded Pork Tacos. Perfect for a quick dinner, this dish will fill your home with the mouth-watering aroma of Mexican seasoned, slow-cooked pork.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 to 1.3kg boneless pork shoulder, halved and rind removed
  • 1 jar of NOGO TACO Seasoning
  • 400g of tomato passata (or NOGO classic pasta Sauce)
  • 12 taco shells
  • 1 large avocado, diced
  • 100g cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • Shredded Iceburg lettuce
  • 1½ cups grated Mexican-style cheese
  • Fresh coriander sprigs for garnish 

Instructions:

  • Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat and brown the pork on all sides.
  • Add the TACO Seasoning (coat the pork evenly).
  • Add the tomato pasata (or NOGO Classic Pasta Sauce)
  • Cover, and simmer on low heat (until the pork is tender and can be easily shredded)

To serve:

  • Shred the pork
  • Fill the taco shells with the pork
  • Top with avocado, cherry tomatoes, lettuce and cheese, and add fresh coriander at the end.
  • Serve with NOGO’s Jalapeno Salsa—whether you like it hot or mild is up to you!
