Chilli Con Carne

This is a firm favourite in our house, easy to make, healthy and delicious, it’s pure food for the soul!


Ingredients:

  • 500g mince meat
  • Spanish Black Beans – 1 can , drained and washed
  • 2 red capsicums, chopped
  • 1 cup green spring onions
  • 1 Jar NOGO Jalapeno Salsa (reduce amount to reduce heat)
  • 1 400g Can Tomatoes
  • 1 Massel beef stock cube
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons Paprika (optional for extra heat and kick)

Instructions:

  • Warm a pot or pan to high, then drop to medium heat when hot
  • Pour in your vegetable oil
  • Add the green spring onions, cook for 10-15 seconds
  • Add your 500g mince meat, brown
  • Add your Paprika to the pan and cook for 30 seconds
  • Add balance of ingredients
  • Cook for 20-30 minutes

  • Rice and grated cheese
  • Mexican grazing box (listed under our Salsa recipes)
  • Tortillas 
  • Tacos
  • Serve with a salad
  • Eat on it’s own!
