This is such a delicious low fodmap family favourite. Quick to make and mouth watering to eat, just because you may not eat garlic, doesn’t mean you can’t eat Pesto! Come on, give this delicious recipe a try!

Pasta

  • 1 packet pasta
  • 1 jar NOGO Basil Pasta Sauce
  • Olive oil to coat cooked pasta

Instructions

  • Cook pasta to just al dente

(note: this sauce does not need cooking, just heating as it’s pre made, ready to serve)

  • Drain Pasta when cooked and reserve a small amount of cooking liquid
  • Place pasta back in pot and pour a good glug of olive oil and the pasta water, let rest for a moment

 Pesto

(for this recipe we are using almonds but a mix of almonds, pine-nuts or cashews also works).

  • ¾ Cup Extra Virgin Olive oil
  • Garlic – 3 cloves (Low fodmap garlic replacer – we used our home made version – check out our video on instagram
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan

(plus put extra aside for sprinkling on pasta once served)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Place all ingredients in a blender
  • Blend until a fine mix

To serve

  • Serve Pasta into individual bowls
  • Top with NOGO Basil Pasta Sauce
  • Top with a few good spoon fulls of Basil Pasta Sauce
  • Serve with a fresh leaf of Basil as decoation

Tip:

Pesto can be frozen for later use. Either free in an icetray or spoon into an old jar and defrost when wanting to use

Enjoy!
