Mexican Hamburger - Tex Mex Style

Meixcan Hamburger - Low FODMAP - Gluten Free - Tex Mex 

 
Mexican Hamburger – Tex Mex style
 
Serves 8 people
 
Ingredients

hamburger

  • Jar NOGO TACO Seasoning
  • 500 g minced meat
  • 1 cup finely diced red capsicum (or any colour you prefer)
  • 1 cup corn
  • Salt and pepper to season
to serve
  • NOGO Jalapeno Salsa (hot or mild)
  • 1-2 packs which corn tortillas
  • Coriander (chopped) for decoration (optional)
  • Lime or lemon wedges
  • Soft TACO wraps
  • Cheese (optional)
  • Avocado
 
Instructions
Hamburger mix
Mix all hamberger ingredients in a mixing bowl, set aside and refrigerate (if you have the time, one hour or prepare for the next day.
 
Cook
  • Heat fry-pan
  • Take a hand sized ball of the mixture and push it on one side of the soft tortilla
  • Place the meat mixture, meat side down into the hot pan
  • Fry until cooked
  • Remove and place on a plate
  • Add your extra ingredients, coriander, Salsa and Avocado
  • Quickly pan fry or microwave the ‘top’ tortilla of the Mexican Burger
  • Place on top of the meat mixture
 
To serve:
  • Cut the ‘burger’ into 4
  • Serve
 
Tip:
Make sure to have napkins, this one can be a bit messy! But worth every mouthful
 
Freeze the root of the Coriander to add flavor to soups, stews and curry pastes. Make’s 6, double and have left overs for the next night, it’s perfect rewarmed!
 
Make extra of this mixture and freeze for a later date or make extra and have leftovers for the next day…
