Mexican Fiesta Burger

Love burgers (I do!), why not try something a little different with these Mexican Fiesta Burgers. They’re packed with flavour and topped with our zesty salsa that will make your taste buds dance!

Ingredients:

  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 cup green spring onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon NOGO taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup NOGO Jalapeno Salsa (hot or mild) plus extra for serving
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 bunch coriander, chopped
  • Olive oil for frying
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 avocado
  • 4 bread rolls, toasted
  • Baby cos lettuce leaves
  • NOGO Garlic aioli or Chili & Lime (optional)

Directions:

  • Mix the beef mince with 1 egg
  • half of the chopped green spring onion
  • Jar of NOGO taco seasoning
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Add 3/4 chopped coriander.
  • Shape the mixture into burger patties (if you have time rest in the fridge for 20 minutes).

Cooking:

  • Heat oil in a grill pan or frying pan and cook the patties until done to your liking. 

Directions:

  • Next mash the avocado with lime juice

Cooking:

  • Cook the remaining eggs as desired (I love a fried, well cooked egg! NO runny bits!)

Instructions:

  • Assemble the burgers by liberally spreading NOGO Garlic Aioli and NOGO Jalapeno Salsa on the rolls
  • Add the lettuce, hamburger, avo, and egg
  • Add the bun top and away you go!
  • Make sure to serve with extra salsa and mayo on the side, just in case.
